Getting started
How do I install the beta?
On your iPhone, install TestFlight, then open the AllTails beta link. Tap View in TestFlight → Accept → Install. Open AllTails from your Home Screen.
If you already installed TestFlight, return to the beta link. Installing TestFlight alone does not install AllTails. See the full install guide.
Link to this answerTestFlight says the beta expired or is full.
Open TestFlight and check AllTails for an Update. If you see no available build, or the public beta says it is full or not accepting testers, email us with the message you see. Keep AllTails installed while we help.
Link to this answerStart Walk is unavailable, or I have no dogs.
Select at least one dog and a walker in the Walk tab. To add your own dog, open Pack and use the add-dog control. If you walk someone else's dogs, ask the owner for a pack invite instead of creating the dogs again.

My route is missing or looks inaccurate.
Check iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → AllTails. Allow While Using the App and turn on Precise Location. Go outside with a clear view of the sky and give GPS a moment to settle.
Start a walk in AllTails before putting the phone away. If the route is still wrong, send us the time of the walk and what happened.
Link to this answerMy walk did not save.
If AllTails shows Retry Save, tap it before starting another walk. For a very short walk, choose Save Anyway if you want to keep it. Look in Pack → History for the saved walk.
If it is still missing, keep the app installed and email us with the date and approximate time.
Link to this answerI forgot to finish a walk. Can I trim it?
Yes. Open the saved walk in Pack → History, then choose Edit → Trim Walk. Drag the start or end handle, review the kept route, then tap Save. Trimming is available for recorded routes.
Link to this answerWhere are my older walks?
Open Pack and scroll to History. Below the recent walks, tap See All … Walks to search and sort the rest. If you belong to several packs, check the pack selected at the top of Pack.

An invite link does not open my pack.
First, make sure AllTails is installed. Return to the original invite message and open its link again. During setup, you can tap Got an invite? and paste the full link or enter its code.
If the app says the invite did not work, ask the owner for a new link from Pack → Invite to Your Pack or Your Pack Is Shared. Read the pack guide.
Link to this answerA walk is not showing up for another pack member.
Check that both phones are online, then open AllTails on both. Make sure the right pack is selected and the right dogs were on the walk. Walks imported from Apple Health stay on the importing phone and do not sync to a pack.
If a recorded walk is still missing, email us with the walk time and which phone recorded it.
Link to this answerCan I walk dogs from more than one family?
Yes. Accept an invite from each owner. Tap the pack name at the top of Pack to switch. Each family sees only walks with its own dogs. See how packs work.
Link to this answerHow do I remove someone or leave a pack?
For your own pack, tap the person in Pack and choose Remove from Pack. To leave someone else's pack, switch to it and tap Leave Pack. Confirm in the app. Their dogs leave your phone; your past walks keep their names.

My Health walks are not available to import.
Open Pack → History → Import from Health. AllTails looks for walking workouts from the last 90 days. Walks already imported or matched to AllTails may not appear as new imports.
In the iPhone Health settings, find Data Access & Devices → AllTails and check access to Workouts and Workout Routes. Return to AllTails and try again. Settings names can vary by iOS version.
Link to this answerHow do I install AllTails on Apple Watch?
Install the iPhone beta on the phone paired with your Watch. Open AllTails in TestFlight and look in the app details for the Watch install option. The Watch app needs watchOS 11 or later. Open AllTails on your iPhone and set up your dogs first.
Link to this answerA Watch walk has not appeared on my iPhone.
Bring the paired Watch and iPhone together, check their connection, and open AllTails on the iPhone. Check Pack → History after the walk finishes transferring.
If you recorded it in Apple's Workout app, use Import from Health instead. If it is still missing, email us with the walk time and which app recorded it.
Link to this answerDoes my pack see my heart rate or Health imports?
No. Apple Health imports, heart rate and calories stay on your iPhone. They do not go to your pack or cloud backup. Packs receive the route and time AllTails records itself, so a shared walk's distance can differ from its Health distance.

How do I move to a new iPhone?
On the old phone, open Pack → Settings → Complete your account and finish Continue with Apple. On the new phone, choose I have an account during setup and use the same Apple Account.
Check your dogs and walks on the new phone before erasing the old one. Health imports, heart rate and calories are not in cloud backup. Read the account guide.
Link to this answerContinue with Apple did not finish.
Check your internet connection, then try Continue with Apple again from AllTails Settings. If you are restoring an account, use the same Apple Account you used before.
If it still fails, keep the app installed and email us with the error message and your iOS version.
Link to this answerHow do I turn on reminders or pack notifications?
Open Pack → Settings → Notifications. Allow notifications and choose a time for the daily walk reminder. If notifications are blocked, tap Open Settings and allow them in the iPhone settings.
Also check Focus and notification settings on your iPhone if alerts are silent.
Link to this answerHow do I delete my account and data?
Open Pack → Settings → Manage Account → Delete Account. Read and confirm the deletion in AllTails. It removes the account, backup, uploaded photos and owned pack. Health workouts are managed separately in the Health app.
For details, read the privacy policy. If you cannot access the app, contact us.
